Is there any reason why speaker wire would not be a good idea for undershelve lighting?

I'm assuming not, but I've been using RCA 18 gauge copper wire to run between led lights that, in total, will not exceed 24W. Any resaon why this kind of wire wpuld be bad? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tvKlwT
